This webinar series on ‘How Teaching Happens’ aims to give you a basic and profound understanding of how we can translate research from cognitive psychology into the daily practice excellent teaching. Two of the writers of the internationally recognized and awarded bestseller book ‘How Teaching Happens’, professors Jim Heal and Carl Hendrick, facilitate this webinar series and guide you through the most seminal scientific work on teaching and learning, making the research as practical as possible for the classroom.

How Teaching Happens is aimed at any educational professional who is seeking to adopt a more evidence-informed approach as a teacher or school and apply the science on learning and teaching in the classroom.

  • You know how you can transfer those theories to your own classroom practice.
  • You have a clear overview of which theories of teaching are actually myths.
  • You can explain why certain theories are mere myths and others are well-proven.
