Women, Power, and Governance: Shifting Systems

Women are increasingly represented in leadership and governance positions. But does greater representation also change how power is exercised, decisions are made, and organisations are governed?

We bring this event to you, to move beyond women's representation in governance and explore how power, leadership identity and boardroom dynamics shape decision-making and systemic change. By connecting academic insights with governance practice, the symposium aims to challenge established perspectives and stimulate dialogue on how women can influence and transform governance across sectors. By the end of this day, you will gain deeper insights into formal and informal power dynamics, critically reflect on existing governance practices and identify opportunities for more inclusive and effective decision-making. The symposium aims to foster cross-sector connections, inspire actionable change and contribute to the ongoing transformation of governance systems.
